Danish GDP Growth Slows to 0.3% in Q3
The Danish economy expanded by 0.3 percent on quarter in the three months to September of 2019, easing from an upwardly revised 1.1 percent growth in the previous period, a preliminary estimate showed. Household consumption increased 0.3 percent (the same pace as in Q2) and net external demand contributed positively to GDP growth, as exports went up 1.2 percent (vs 4.8 percent in Q2) while imports rose at a softer 0.4 percent (vs 1.3 percent in Q2). Meanwhile, government spending showed no growth ( vs -0.1 percent in Q2). By contrast, fixed investment continued to shrink (-2.8 percent vs -0.9 percent). Year-on-year, the economy advanced 2.2 percent, after a downwardly revised 2.5 percent expansion in the second quarter.

Denmark’s gross domestic product grew 0.3 percent on quarter in the three months to September of 2019, following a 0.9 percent advance in the previous period, a flash estimate showed.

Danish Q2 GDP Growth Rate Revised Up to 0.9%
The Danish economy expanded by 0.9 percent on quarter in the three months to June of 2019, faster than a preliminary estimates of 0.8 percent and compared to a revised 0.3 percent growth in the previous period. This was the strongest GDP growth rate since the fourth quarter 2017, as household consumption went up faster (0.5 percent vs 0.2 percent in Q1). In addition, government spending rebounded (0.1 percent vs -0.2 percent) and net external demand contributed positively to GDP growth, as exports went up 3.8 percent (vs 0.3 percent in Q1) and imports rose just 0.1 percent (vs 1.4 percent in Q1). By contrast, fixed investment fell 0.3 percent, after a 2.0 percent jump in Q1. Year-on-year, the economy advanced 2.6 percent, after a revised 2.0 percent expansion in the first quarter.

Danish GDP Growth Accelerates to 0.8% in Q2
The Danish economy expanded by 0.8 percent on quarter in the three months to June of 2019, accelerating from an upwardly revised 0.2 percent growth in the previous period, a preliminary estimate showed. Both household consumption (0.4 percent vs 0.3 percent in Q1) and government spending (0.3 percent, after a flat reading in Q1) rose, while net external demand contributed positively to GDP growth, as exports went up 3.3 percent (vs 0.1 percent in Q1) while imports declined 0.2 percent (vs 0.9 percent in Q1). By contrast, fixed investment fell (-0.9 percent vs 1.8 percent). Year-on-year, the economy advanced 2.3 percent, after a 1.9 percent expansion in the first quarter.

Danish GDP Growth Rate Accelerates to 0.8% in Q2
Denmark’s gross domestic product grew 0.8 percent on quarter in the three months to June of 2019, following a 0.1 percent advance in the previous period, a flash estimate showed. Positive contributions to growth came from industry and transport. Considering the first half of the year, the economy expanded 2 percent compared with the same period of 2018.

Danish GDP Growth Revised Lower to 0.1% in Q1
The Danish economy grew by 0.1 percent on quarter in the three months to March of 2019, softer than a preliminary estimates of 0.2 percent, and slowing from a downwardly revised 0.8 percent advance in the previous period, final figures showed. It was the weakest pace of expansion since the third quarter 2017, when the economy shrank by 1 percent. Government spending edged down 0.1 percent, after a 0.5 percent gain in Q4 and net external demand contributed negatively to GDP, as exports fell 0.4 percent (vs 0.8 percent in Q4) while imports rose 1.2 percent (vs -0.1 percent in Q4). Meanwhile, household consumption went up 0.4 percent, following a 0.3 percent rise in Q4 2018 and fixed investment rebounded (2.5 percent vs -0.5 percent). Year-on-year, the economy advanced 1.9 percent, after a 2.6 percent expansion in the fourth quarter.
